Joe has many years experience of one to one instrument tuition and has seen many successful students gain fantastic examination results and top playing achievements.

Joe has a full CRB check and many music qualifications and awards.

He teaches all ages, all styles and all abilities. His easy going, helpful and informative style of teaching has been very popular amongst students and helps deliver great results and a high success rate of great players!

Lessons are held in Joe's fully equipped teaching studio in Sudbury on the Suffolk/Essex border - all materials are provided, students only need to bring their guitars and any music sheets that have been worked on in previous lessons.

Lessons are tailored and structured to the individual student.

Students can be put through exams from grades 1-8 in either RGT (Registry of Guitar Tutors) or Rockschool depending on the students style and preference. If the student wishes to just learn for fun and concentrate on learning styles and specific songs, this is something Joe is equally as comfortable and happy with.

For the player who has a desire to take their playing to a more professional level however, the exams do offer a structured way of learning that ensures new levels of attainment are reached at a steady, comfortable pace.

Joe is now offering lessons via SKYPE for those more than 60 minutes from the studio.

Prices are the same, but half hour lessons are only available if taken weekly.

Beginner

From those that have never even held a guitar before, Joe will start you on your way. From the first basic chords, scales and string names, you will be strumming your favourite tunes in no time. A great basis to build on!

Intermediate

This is where people start to specialise in their chosen styles. Joe can help with your technique, stylistic ideas, cliches, begin working on fluid and interesting improvisation, songwriting technique and music theory to really bring your playing up to the next level!

Advanced

This is where it gets more interesting. As a Blues, Rock and Country specialist, Joe doesn't pretend to be able to help with your speed metal playing. If this level is what you require, please get in touch to see whether Joe is the right teacher for you. If not, we'll be able to recommend someone who is.
